MREC is committed to providing outreach and a voice to the many parties that must weigh-in on the prospect of ocean energy systems being tested and established in New England waters (local, state and federal). MREC has hosted two groundbreaking stakeholder conferences which have served the community well, and has participated in the Massachusetts Ocean Spatial Management Plan development. The first was held on October 6, 2008 and the second was held on September 17, 2009.
